Prepare and submit the annual income tax return with required attachments, including audited financial statements as required for the file.
Review information slips and the salary certificate before submission to the Income and Sales Tax Department.
Attend income tax audit meetings when needed, explain the outcomes to the client and obtain approval before signing minutes or decisions on the client’s behalf within the authorisation.
Follow up objections to decisions not accepted by the client, including filing within the statutory period, discussions with the objection committee and responses to its enquiries through to its decision at the Department.
Follow up tax clearance requests at the client’s request, subject to fulfilment of the relevant requirements.
Provide tax advice during the engagement to support compliance with income tax law and related regulations and instructions.
